Bold and Red

Good afternoon fellow bloggers,
I hope all is going well for you guys. It's back to Uni for me, I started my lectures yesterday. Already, I have some workload but I will get it done I WILL. Nevertheless, I refuse to allow the amount of work get in the way of my blogging.

Something that I always tend to find tricky is styling a semi-formal or 'smart casual' outfit. I often feel that I either go too casual or too smart, there is no in-between. But after experimenting and giving it some thought, I finally managed to put it together.
To me the name 'smart casual' entails at least some level of comfort seeing as it has a 'casual' element to it. Although, smart often means wearing heels too (I know, it's not always necessary) There's nothing comforting when it comes to wearing heels, how people manage to do it everyday I have no clue. I do know that I size down when it comes to heels since it fits me a lot better. Please enlighten me with advice on how to wear heels! How do you prevent your foot from feeling like it's getting trampled on by an elephant?
Other than that, this by far has been my favourite shoot. The lighting was just working with me "The lighting had me feeling some type of way", and I'm showing you guys an item that I wish to fill my wardrobe with - BLAZERS

I opted for this gorgeous bright red blazer, which to me is what made this outfit look somewhat formal. This was purchased a while back and I bought it in the sale for £5 from H&M in a size 10 (Even though my original size is 8, that was the lowest size there. I simply cannot turn down a £5 bargain), hence why I had to roll up the sleeves. I just love the colour combination of black and red.
I finally figured though, if you want a hint of formality just throw on a blazer, ta-da! I love how there aren't any included buttons, it makes it look 10x classier.

Underneath the blazer was a crop top from Boohoo, you can purchase this here, it's very cheap. The top itself is stretchy which makes it comfortable for us ladies. Whatever size your chest is, the crop top will adjust to your bust size. I cannot stand wearing tight crop tops, so this is ideal for a very good price.

I've worn these high waisted jeans to death, hence why the colour's faded out. Regardless, it's an essential item that I can wear with anything; Unlike the red blazer, the colours you wear with it can be limited. I must have previously mentioned these jeans in a past post, these are from H&M too! (so is the black belt which I'm sure you're all familiar with). This is definitely a cheaper option from the Topshop joni jeans if you don't fancy forking out £40 on a pair of high waisted jeans. I decided to wear high waisted jeans as I was wearing a crop top, I didn't want to reveal too much, only a little bit of skin. High waisted jeans are also very in right now, it can make your legs look longer too.

These pretty heels are from ASOS. In the beginning these are the most comfortable heels I've ever worn, but by the end of the night my toes ended up having a few cuts and a blister. I just don't think I'm good with heels! But these are so adorable. It would go with any outfit. The heel isn't too high but it's also very slim, which from what I've read in different articles, are the types of heels to stay away from. They're very cute but lesson learnt not to wear them out if I'm doing a lot of walking.

As for accessories, my bag is from Primark. I would have worn a clutch bag that night as it would have been a better option but I couldn't find it. It's just a plain, simple black shoulder bag that's small enough to fit in my essentials. On a night out you wouldn't exactly want to carry a big, heavy bag. Especially if it involves drinking

My beautiful watch is from Casio, I chose gold as it looks so classy. It's perfect for my wrist size as chunky watches do not suit me. The adjustable option is so handy, no need to spend an extra £5 to get it refitted. And like all my other accessories from my previous posts, I tend to stick to jewellery that go with everything

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. I realise I am only posting once a week that's just to ensure that every single one of my content is being viewed.
Have a wonderful week. Lets all persevere and maintain a motivated mindset regardless of the 2 hour lectures, yay

Yours truly,
