Paris, France - The Dos and Donts (and How to Avoid Getting Scammed)


Paris, a city renowned for its beauty. Surely, it’s on everyone’s bucket list? It was certainly in mine. However, whilst its tourist attractions met my expectations, my overall experience was a disappointment. It’s my least favourite European holiday yet and I couldn’t wait to go home. 

Five weeks later, I’m still dealing with issues that we encountered back in Paris.

Here’s a list of dos and donts in Paris, don’t make the same mistakes that we did! (And also a mini-story time of how we got scammed in Paris and why AirFrance is the worst airline we’ve ever encountered)

Whenever people say “University was the best three years of my life” I tend to bow my head in shame. Did I do something wrong? Why didn’t I feel the same way about my University experience? Because personally for me, it was the toughest three years of my life. And it wasn’t the best…

MY EXPERIENCE WITH RACISM


"Go back to your country!" a boy in my german class yelled
"Ni hao!” a white grown man yelled from across the street
“Ch*nk!” they screamed at my sister whilst speeding in their car

Fifteen years ago, my parents sacrificed what we once called ‘home’ to move to a country that they knew would give us a better life. Did they want to? Probably not. Did they think it was necessary? Absolutely.
